[28:39] El Faraón y sus huestes tiranizaron el país violando todos los derechos, pensando que no iban a tener que comparecer ante Mí.
Tafsir de Ibn Kathir
{وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ إِلَيۡنَا لَا يُرۡجَعُونَ} (39)
Y Su dicho:
{ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الأرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لا يُرْجَعُونَ }
Es decir: se excedieron y se tiranizaron, y multiplicaron en la tierra la corrupción, y creyeron que no hay retorno ni Resurrección

{ فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ . إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ } [ al-Faŷr: 13, 14 ] ,
Y por ello dijo aquí:
{ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ }
